Governance Model
Governance as a Way to Improve
Delta places high importance on ongoing feedback from its users. To facilitate this, Delta has introduced a governance protocol designed to gauge community sentiment, collect proposals, and reward participants.
Liquidity Providers, who are essential to Delta, can farm Delta tokens with their LP tokens and stake them in Delta pools. This not only increases their Delta holdings and voting power but also allows them to earn redistributed fees through Delta staking pools, incentivizing continued liquidity provision on their chosen chain.
Voting Power
To engage in the Governance Protocol and receive a share of redistributed protocol fees, users must deposit their Delta tokens into the Governance Pool. In return, they receive gDelta tokens, which represent their participation and voting power.
Delta Protocol Governance
Governance within Delta will play a critical role in shaping the protocol's future. Key governance measures include:
Assessing Community Sentiment: Understanding market conditions and risk strategies.
Introducing New Asset Pools: Proposing and evaluating new asset integrations.
Setting Voting Weights: Determining the influence of each participant in governance decisions.
Gathering Input on Protocol Improvements: Collecting suggestions for enhancing the protocol.
Adjusting Distribution Weights: Modifying allocation strategies for single asset pools.
Currently, the Delta team holds decision-making authority for the project's development. However, the ultimate goal is to transition to Full DAO Governance once Delta achieves market stability and longevity. This transition will ensure a fully decentralized omnichain bridging protocol governed by the community.
